Department Information
Within this setting, the Department of Finance seeks to prepare students for successful careers in finance through innovative classroom instruction, experiential learning and the application of original scholarly activity developed by our faculty. We work to elevate the discipline through applied and theoretical research and through meaningful service.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Department Chair of Finance, the tenure-track position requires teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, research in quality peer-reviewed journals and service to the institution. The position is an academic 10 month, tenure-track appointment.
Required Qualifications
  • Earned terminal degree in finance, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in finance from an AACSB accredited institution by August 1, 2026.
  • Evidence of effective written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing a strong and growing research and scholarship agenda and the production of research/creative activities as appropriate to the discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years full-time college/university teaching experience at the assistant professor level is required for the rank of associate professor along with a strong record of research and service with publications and presentations in professional venues.
  • Minimum of 5 years full-time college/university teaching experience at the associate professor level is required for the rank of professor along with a strong record of research and service with substantial publications and presentations in professional venues.

Preferred Qualifications
  • University-level teaching experience in finance with a particular interest in teaching banking courses.
  • Experience delivering remote instruction
  • Ability to interact with industry professionals
  • For the rank of associate or full professor, evidence of significant and effective service roles.

Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
