Western Connecticut State University's Ancell School of Business, an AACSB accredited School, is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted for an Instructor/Assistant Professor, non- tenure-track, one-year special appointment for the Finance Department.

The Ancell School of Business is composed of five business administration departments: Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing. The degrees offered are Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA). The accounting curriculum is designed to provide the students with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary in managerial and administrative positions in a variety of organizations. Qualifications: For an appointment at the Instructor level, a master's degree in finance or a related field, and substantial experience in Finance is required. For an appointment at the Assistant Professor level a doctorate in Finance or an earned doctorate in a related field is required. ABDs in Finance or in related fields considered. College teaching experience is preferred. Candidates should be professionally active and engaged in college / university service or business and managerial experience is a plus. Areas of teaching may include Principles of Finance, Business Statistics, Business Data Analytics, Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management, Financial Engineering, and other finance courses as needed. The teaching load is four classes/courses per semester, and the position requires attending other duties in areas of student academic advising and service.
A candidate who does not meet the above standards may also be appointed provided the candidate has credentials and/or experience substantially comparable to the above experience.
WCSU is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from different backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for first-generation and under-represented groups. Salary & Benefits: The hiring salary range for Instructor is $71,317 - $76,192 and the hiring salary range for Assistant Professor is $80,713 - $86,231 and is commensurate upon candidates' experience. Please note: WCSU is unable to sponsor applicants for work visas at this time. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
