Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certified or eligible.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical supervision of medical students, psychiatry residents, and emergency medicine residents in emergency psychiatry; didactic teaching of psychiatry residents in emergency psychiatry.
Clinical responsibilities may include delivery of care in the Crisis Response Center at Pennsylvania Hospital, including serving as physician leader of the interdisciplinary treatment team; assessment of patients in crisis; medication management of psychiatric emergencies; ensuring of safe disposition; and collaboration with advanced practice practitioners.
