What is a professor of applied behavior analysis?

A Professor of Applied Behavior Analysis is an academic expert who teaches, researches, and mentors students in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). In addition to teaching, they often conduct research, publish scholarly articles, and supervise graduate students pursuing careers as behavior analysts. Their work helps advance the science and practice of ABA, which is commonly used to support individuals with autism and other developmental disorders.

How does a professor of applied behavior analysis typically collaborate with clinical practitioners and research teams?

This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as professors regularly coordinate with professionals from psychology, education, and healthcare to enhance both research outcomes and client care.
