Rite Wrench, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a skilled full-time Diesel/Truck Service Writer to join our dedicated team. THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE WRITER

THE SCHEDULE:

The Diesel/ Truck Service Writer position is a full-time role with shifts scheduled from either 7:00 am to 4:00 pm or 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This consistent weekday schedule allows for a stable work-life balance.


YOUR ROLE:

As an Diesel/Truck Service Writer, you will oversee customer requests from the initial inquiry through completion. Your responsibilities will include confirming equipment availability with customers, sourcing, receiving, and returning parts necessary for each job, and scheduling technicians to open jobs. You will maintain professional communication with customers throughout the service process, create and send accurate estimates, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and company policies. Additionally, you will maintain precise records of repairs performed, parts used, and labor hours for each job, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.


OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in similar roles and mechanic service environments
  • Excellent customer service skills for positive client interaction
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow procedures
  • Experience working with shop management software and sourcing parts
  • Proficiency in diesel mechanical knowledge, diagnostics, and repair techniques for various vehicles, including trucks and heavy equipment
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Familiarity with operating trucks and heavy equipment (preferred)
