The Benefits: We are proud of our “family company” roots and understand everyone has a unique set of needs: we want to support you as best we can so you can live your best life with us. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive options for medical, physical, and mental health and wellness, life insurance, 401k matching, paid time off, and more.

Grow with us! The sky is the limit for talented, driven individuals. With our ever-expanding portfolio, we offer opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. We look forward to growing together.

Be YOU with us! At Southworth, we are working to redefine the country club. We seek talent from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, and cultures to ensure an innovative edge. Here, diversity is a driver of our success.

The Opportunity: As a Busser, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and efficiency of our dining establishment. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the waitstaff and kitchen team by clearing and setting tables, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our members and guests. Your attention to detail and dedication to exceptional service will contribute to the club's reputation for excellence.

Duties and Functions:

  • Clear tables efficiently and promptly after guests have completed their meals.
  • Set tables with clean utensils, glassware, and linens in preparation for new guests.
  • Assist servers in delivering dishes to tables and refilling water glasses as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping surfaces, and ensuring a tidy environment.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to transport used dishes and kitchen equipment to appropriate cleaning areas.
  • Empty trash containers regularly and replace trash bags as needed.
  • Provide support during peak dining hours by helping to manage guest flow and waitlists.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and alert servers or supervisors of any special needs or concerns.
  • Assist in stocking dining supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and cutlery.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with guests, fellow staff members, and management.

Qualification Standards:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a keen sense of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy trays or equipment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn from more experienced team members.
  • Flexibility in working varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Joining our team as a Busser offers a unique opportunity to be part of a distinguished country club that values exceptional service and culinary excellence. As a vital member of our restaurant staff, you'll contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our esteemed members and guests. If you're a dedicated individual with a passion for hospitality, teamwork, and attention to detail, we’d like to speak with you.
