Job description

General maintenance repairs to hotel and trouble calls. Public area and guest room preventative maintenance. Basic troubleshooting skills required (electricity, plumbing, etc.) Utility Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and construction of building components to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the facility. This position performs a wide variety of skilled carpentry work, including repairing doors, frames, cabinetry, drywall, ceilings, flooring, trim, furniture, and other interior and exterior building finishes.

  • Three or more years of commercial carpentry or building maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of general building construction, woodworking techniques, and repair methods.
  • Ability to safely use carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts as required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
