Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Lake Katrine, NY, this position works directly with individuals while safely and accurately preparing and administering medications. The Med Transporter will assist in implementing residential programs as developed, including medical transport and scheduling. They are responsible for complying with regulatory and facility policies on medication consents, teaching individuals about medications and medication management, accurately monitoring and documenting medication administration, and monitoring medication effects and adverse reactions according to facility protocol. They will report concerns to the RN on duty, report actual/potential medication errors per facility procedure, and actively engage in medication error reduction practices.
Location: Leggs Mill IRA, Lake Katrine
Salary: (commensurate with education and experience)
With HS Diploma/GED - $20.00 - $21.40 per hour
With BA/BS - $21.00 - $22.47 per hour
With MA/MS or higher - $22.00 - $23.54 per hour

Qualifications
  • Must have medication administration certification and be able to work a flexible schedule including weekend hours.
  • Minimum of two years of college in a degree-seeking program, preferably in a human services field.
  • Prefer BA degree in a human services field.
  • Can substitute one year of related experience for the education requirement.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
