Job description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Carpenter / Multi-Trade Technician with experience in carpentry, drywall, painting, and tile work to support ongoing renovation, repair, and maintenance projects across multiple restaurant locations. This role involves both daytime and overnight shifts, depending on project needs and operational schedules.


Position Overview

As part of our field team, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of construction and finishing tasks in active and non-operational restaurant environments. Work must be completed efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption to business operations. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between job sites and adapting to varying work conditions.


Key Responsibilities

Carpentry Work

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, trim work, cabinetry, and fixture installation
  • Repair or replace damaged wood structures, counters, shelving, and partitions
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision

Drywall Installation & Repair

  • Hang, tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall to a smooth, paint-ready surface
  • Patch holes, cracks, and water-damaged areas
  • Match existing textures and finishes when needed

Painting & Finishing

  • Prepare surfaces (sanding, priming, caulking)
  • Apply paint, stains, and coatings with professional quality
  • Ensure clean lines, consistent coverage, and durable finishes

Tile Work

  • Install floor and wall tile (ceramic, porcelain, and other materials)
  • Measure and cut tile accurately for proper fit and layout
  • Prepare surfaces, apply mortar/thinset, and grout finishes
  • Repair or replace damaged tile and match existing designs when needed

General Duties

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Follow project timelines and supervisor instructions
  • Work independently or with a small team
  • Communicate progress and report issues promptly


Work Schedule

  • Day Shifts: Typically for projects in closed sections or new builds
  • Overnight Shifts: Common for active restaurant locations to avoid disrupting customers
  • Flexibility is required; some weekends may be needed


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in carpentry, drywall, painting, and tile work (multi-trade experience preferred)
  • Ability to read basic plans and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Reliable transportation to travel between job sites
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or in tight spaces


Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in commercial or restaurant environments
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing or electrical (a plus, not required)
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and job site protocols
