Job description


We're seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to support nuclear station projects. You'll apply advanced structural engineering skills to complex design challenges with limited supervision, taking ownership of pipe support design, concrete anchorage, and wall corebore evaluations. This role also includes field walkdowns and direct interface with craft personnel during installation.
Pay$79.00- $89.00 per hour DOE
What you'll do
  • Design pipe supports using loads from the pipe stress engineering group
  • Evaluate concrete wall corebores and design concrete anchorage per ACI 318
  • Apply AISC steel design standards to structural engineering deliverables
  • Support field walkdowns and coordinate with craft teams on installation activities
  • Solve complex engineering problems independently with limited supervision

What you need
  • 10+ years of structural/civil engineering discipline experience
  • AISC structural steel and ACI 318 concrete design experience
  • Familiarity with ASCE design codes
  • Experience supporting nuclear or heavy industrial projects

Nice to have
  • PE License in Structural Engineering • MSCE
  • GT STRUDL, ANSYS, or similar structural design software experience
