Job Summary

The Software Engineer III โ€“ Aftermarket Support is responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing software solutions deployed in customer environments. This role works closely with customers, field service teams, project engineering, and product development to resolve complex software issues, implement enhancements, and ensure optimal system performance. The engineer follows established coding standards, software development best practices, and technical design principles while providing high-quality support for mission-critical material handling systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical support for deployed warehouse automation and material handling software systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software issues in production environments.
  • Analyze customer-reported problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
  • Develop software enhancements, patches, and maintenance releases for existing applications.
  • Perform coding, debugging, testing, and validation throughout the software maintenance lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Controls Engineers, Field Service Engineers, Project Engineers, and Customer Support teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Support software upgrades, system migrations, and customer change requests.
  • Monitor application performance and recommend improvements to increase system reliability and efficiency.
  • Document technical solutions, troubleshooting procedures, and software changes.
  • Participate in on-call or after-hours support activities as required.
  • Mentor junior software engineers and provide technical guidance on support-related activities.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed (up to 15%).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Experience supporting production software applications in customer environments.
  • Experience within the Automated Material Handling, Warehouse Automation, Manufacturing, or Industrial Automation industries preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
