Reworld is hiring a CDL A local walking floor driver in Milwaukee, WI. Drivers are responsible for the safe transportation of nonhazardous materialsbetween Reworld facilities and customer sites, primarily operating walking floor trailers on a dedicated Milwaukee to Indianapolis lane. This role is home dailyand offers flexible start times, allowing drivers to adjust schedules to avoid Chicago traffic. Candidates must be able to operate manual transmission equipment; automatic restriction licenses cannot be accommodated.

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $30.00/hour
  • Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours
  • Typical hours:4550 hours per week
• Overnight runs:Occasional, with per diem provided
• Bonuses:
  • $2,500 unlimited driver referral bonus
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home time, Route & Schedule

• Home time:Home daily (weather and traffic permitting)
• Route:Dedicated lane from Milwaukee to Indianapolis
• Schedule:Flexible start times to help avoid Chicago traffic; drivers may start earlier or later based on preference and route efficiency
• Level of touch:No hose work; standard material transport with minimal manual handling
  • Additional:Primarily walking floor trailer operation with consistent route structure

Equipment:

• Assigned sleeper cab Freightliner tractors
• Manual transmission (no automatic restriction permitted)
• Walking floor trailers (primary equipment)
• Potential for limited tanker usebased on business needs

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Minimum of 2+ years of commercial tractortrailer driving experience
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely operate manual transmission equipment(no automatic restriction)
• Ability to use a tablet for ELogs and documentation
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climbfor extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions
• Adequate vision and hearingto safely perform job duties
• Must be located within 30 miles of Milwaukee, WI

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tractortrailer equipmenton a dedicated Milwaukee to Indianapolis route
• Transport nonhazardous materialsbetween Reworld facilities and customer sites
• Perform pretrip and posttrip inspectionsto ensure safe operation
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and HOS requirements
• Complete required documentation including logs, delivery paperwork, and inspection reports
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, facility contacts, and team membersregarding schedules and issues
• Follow assigned routes and directions while ensuring safe and efficient operations
• Perform additional duties as needed based on operational requirements
