Shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to support their metal finishing operations. This role is responsible for inspecting plated parts to ensure they meet customer specifications, internal quality standards, and industry requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in visual inspection, measurement tools, and working in a manufacturing or plating environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect plated parts for defects such as blistering, peeling, pits, burns, discoloration, or uneven coating
  • Verify plating thickness, finish quality, and appearance per customer specifications
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of parts
  • Use measuring and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges, and visual comparators
  • Review work orders, prints, and specifications to ensure compliance
  • Document inspection results and complete quality reports accurately
  • Identify non-conforming material and communicate issues to supervisors and production teams
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a QC Inspector in manufacturing, metal finishing, or plating preferred
  • Knowledge of plating processes (zinc, nickel, chrome, anodizing, etc.) a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, job travelers, and basic blueprints
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, thickness gauges)
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
  • Ability to stand for long periods and handle small to medium-sized parts


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and inspect parts for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
  • Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
