Job Description Senior Electrical Controls Engineer Location: Covington, GA Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Thursday (40 hours) Position Overview M Force Partners is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to support electrical system design, PLC programming, and product development initiatives. This Senior Electrical Controls Engineer role will focus on designing electrical control systems, leading innovation projects, and supporting the development of advanced dehumidification systems. The ideal Senior Electrical Controls Engineer will be a self-motivated professional capable of taking ownership of projects while working independently with minimal supervision.

This individual will play a key role in electrical system design, controls programming, and product innovation. Key Responsibilities Design electrical schematics for custom dehumidification systems Develop ladder logic designs using CAD tools Create PLC control systems using Carel and Automation Direct PLC platforms Ensure all electrical designs meet NEC and UL requirements Develop electrical drawings using AutoCAD (SolidWorks Electrical experience preferred) Select electrical components including motors, breakers, contactors, relays, VFDs, and controllers Develop bills of materials and provide procurement documentation to the purchasing department Lead research and development (R&D) and new product development (NPD) initiatives Develop procedures and production standards for electrical systems Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement corrective action plans Program PLC systems and support automation functionality across product lines Provide engineering support to field service teams and customers Travel to customer sites as needed for troubleshooting or system support Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university Minimum of 5 years of experience in an electrical engineering or controls engineering role Strong expertise in electrical schematic design and electrical drawing creation Experience with PLC programming and automation systems Proficiency using AutoCAD Working knowledge of HVAC or refrigeration systems Strong technical writing and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage engineering projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and commitment to quality work Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Georgia 5+ years of experience in HVAC or refrigeration system design 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD 5+ years of PLC design experience Experience with Carel, Automation Direct, Allen Bradley, or Siemens PLC platforms Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint Experience with LEAN, 6S, and structured problem-solving methodologies Job presented by M Force Partners M Force Partners is a specialized recruitment partner connecting top-tier talent with leading organizations.
