Professional Practice Specialist - Nursing Administration - Full Time
Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital, stand-alone, not-for-profit hospital located in Ste. Genevieve, MO, that focuses on personalized care. Our 25-inpatient bed facility is a Medicare 4-star rated and is ranked in the top 1% nationally for Patient Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. We are proud to extend the mission of SGCMH by putting people first with excellent, personalized, and compassionate healthcare. Our deep community roots date back as the oldest town west of the Mississippi river and is the first French settlement Missouri with the hospital employing approximately 490+ employees and 100 multi-specialty providers on staff. What to expect as a Professional Practice Specialist:
  • Responsible for overseeing education, clinical competency, professional practice standards, and direct clinical support within the hospital.
  • Promote excellence in patient care through staff development, evidence-based practice, regulatory readiness, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Maintain an active clinical presence and may provide direct bedside nursing care as needed to support staffing and operational needs.
  • Serve as a resource, mentor, educator, and clinical leader for nursing staff across all departments while supporting organizational quality and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements
  • Current Missouri RN license.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS CPR certification required.
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Instructor certification (or with in 9 months of hire)
  • Completion of DHSS Approved Clinical Supervisor Course (or with in 6 months of hire)
  • Master's degree in nursing education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Supervisory and Nursing experience
