IT NETWORKENGINEER

the company is looking for a networkengineerwith experience in networking technologies that support routing, switching, VoIP andWiFi. This employee will be a member of the IT Networking team, whichis responsible formaintaininga stable,reliableand diverse network. This network supports the designing,manufacturingand launching of rockets, spacecraft, satellites as well as human space flight. The position will be directly involved with supporting the campus network using our reliable design standards. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, able to document work in a ticketing system, excel at multi-tasking, resolve issues to prevent failures and enjoy a fast-paced high-tech environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Procure,configureand install network hardware including switches, access points, UPS and PDUs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues
  • Plan and coordinate network outage windows with stakeholders to perform software updates, hardware refreshes and general network maintenance
  • Perform wireless surveys to determine coverage gaps and implement solutions
  • Configure and troubleshoot network access control (NAC) and other security features
  • Perform job walks with customers, vendors and contractors to gather network requirements and create implementation plans accordingly
  • Build and maintain our IDF rooms across our campus in accordance to our network standards
  • Monitor network health using in-house and 3rd party tools
  • Continuously create and update network documentation
  • Manage our network hardware inventory
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline and 3+ years of professional network engineering experience; OR 5+ years of professional network engineering experience in lieu of a degree
