Professional Lash information

Can I get lash lift while on accutane?

A professional lash artist should be aware that accutane can cause skin dryness and increased sensitivity, which may affect the healing process after a lash lift. It is generally recommended to wait until completing the medication cycle and skin has stabilized before undergoing lash lifting procedures to reduce the risk of irritation or damage.

Can lash extensions cause ptosis?

Professional lash artists should be trained to apply extensions properly to avoid putting stress on the natural lashes and eyelids. While rare, improper application or excessive weight from heavy extensions can potentially lead to eyelid drooping (ptosis) if the natural eyelid muscles are affected. Proper technique and certification help minimize this risk.

How much money does a lash artist make?

A lash artist's income varies based on experience, location, and client base, but they typically earn between $25,000 and $75,000 annually. Many work as independent contractors, setting their own rates and schedules, and income can increase with certifications and a strong reputation.
