Build your commercial insurance business with the backing of Farmers Insurance.

The Farmers Insurance Eugene District Office is seeking an experienced Business Insurance Agent (BIA) to help grow commercial insurance throughout our district. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed commercial insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, generating new business, and creating long-term value through a growing book of business.


As a Business Insurance Agent, you'll build and manage acommercial book while partnering with an established network of Farmers agents. Agents throughout the district can refer commercial opportunities to you, allowing you to collaborate on accounts, earn commission through shared business, and continue growing a client portfolio. You'll also develop business through networking, referrals, and prospecting.

Responsibilities
  • Build, manage, and grow commercial clientele.
  • Partner with Farmers agents to quote, write, and service commercial insurance accounts.
  • Develop relationships with local business owners and provide consultative insurance solutions.
  • Prospect for new commercial clients through referrals, networking, and business development.
  • Evaluate business risks and recommend appropriate coverage, including Business Owners Policies (BOP), Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation, Umbrella, and other commercial products.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities to expand client coverage.
Requirements
  • Active Oregon Property Casualty license preferred.
  • Commercial insurance sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products and business insurance solutions.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and sales skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to grow a client portfolio.
