SUMMARY

Trinity Classical Academy seeks a versatile and seasoned coach to teach and mentor student athletes for our Varsity Football program in the Department of Athletics. Qualified candidates will be models in their lives and abilities for Boys Football.

QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS

Previous experience is preferred.

Essential Skills and Abilities
  • Teach/coach/train and disciple student athletes
  • Organize and supervise the Varsity Football program
  • Assist the Director of Athletes in scheduling activities, utilization of football budgets and travel arrangements
  • Conduct Football Clinics for the school
  • Perform preseason, regular season, tournaments and post season activities
  • Participate in organizing and conducting a summer football program
  • Inventory and maintain all equipment and comply with related statistics as required by the department and/or governing bodies for our athletic programs (NFHS, CIF, etc.)
  • Train and evaluate assistant coaches and playing participants
  • Act as a liaison person in relating the school’s football program to the staff, administration, general public, and local news media
  • Conduct and analyze scouting reports
  • Serve as a trainer during practice sessions and away games
  • Coordinate the overall practice schedule for the program
  • Maintain professional growth through attendance of coaching clinics and conferences
  • Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the principal or Head of School may assign
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, and students of diverse academic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish good and appropriate relationships with students

  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a demonstrated commitment to the philosophies presented at Trinity Classical Academy
  • Demonstrates a mature Christian lifestyle by active involvement in a local church
  • Playing/Coaching experience in the area of competitive football
  • Positive support of the school's policies and practices
  • Service oriented and able to interface with many people
  • Truthful, positive, and purposeful when communicating with others
  • Flexible and adaptable in dealing with new, different or changing requirements
  • Must successfully pass a background investigation
  • Excellent oral and written command of the English language is required
  • Possess excellent organizational skills
  • Exercise confidentiality, good judgement, and discernment
  • Service oriented and able to interface with many people is mandatory
Working Conditions
  • Working Environment: Mostly indoors in a gym/athletic environment, with an occasional need to visit other areas on campus. Some evening or Saturday games/meetings/training as required
  • Physical Demand: Must be able to lift 30 pounds
  • Travel: Travel will be required for games /tournaments
  • Mental Demands: Ability to work well under pressure; ability to maintain a level of professionalism and calm when others are behaving inappropriately
Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 3:15p.m. – 6:00p.m. or as needed beyond these hours. Possible Saturdays for games.
