Job description

Material Planner

Responsible for material planning, building inventory balance, releasing purchase requests, and monitoring depletion, reducing aged inventory levels.

Representative Duties:

  • Responsible for preparing raw material reserve planning;
  • Responsible for releasing material purchase requisitions, follow up PR execution;
  • Responsible for arranging raw material arriving schedule according to production schedule, monitor inventory level to keep turnover day balance;
  • Responsible for monitoring raw material depletion comply to First In First Out, push aged raw material consumption;
  • Responsible for reviewing sales order, process whether raw material can't meet demand;
  • Responsible for organizing engineering material changes (when necessary, such as supply-side changes)
  • Responsible for ensuring daily work comply to work instruction, reach Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Responsible for handling emergencies, such as urgent procurement and disqualified batches, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and/or Mandarin. Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.

Experience: 1. Major in supply chain; 2. 1 year experience with supply chain (inventory planning, scheduling & procurement) or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor degree or above from an accredited college.

Physical Condition: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and having the ability to stay focused. Adaptive to high stress environment.

Other Requirements: Proficient in the use of Microsoft software. Prefer having knowledge of PLEX/SAP/Oracle MRP function.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities utilized on the job: Professional Knowledge, Skills - Good sense of data, dedicate with data analysis, ability to multitask and prioritize. Excellent planning ability. Experience working with large data sets. Understand procurement process, logistic concept. Must be able to possess a high level of confidentiality Knowledge and skills. Training Required - Fuyao internal manufacture workflow. Fuyao policy/management/safety manual. Supply chain/Material Planning strategy. IATF16949 for Class A&B&CD OEM planner.

Work Environment: Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses and steel-toed work boots when visiting the production line.

Fulfill Rate --general for all material planner. CIP Proposal --general for all material planner.
