Job title: CMM Quality Inspector
Starting pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, this will increase once able to complete machine set ups and operations independently.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday. Overtime may be required.

We are seeking a Quality Inspector with extensive CMM programming experience and comprehensive inspection abilities.
Job Purpose:
As the CMM Quality Inspector you will validate the precision manufactured parts using the Coordinate Measuring Machine and traditional manual inspection methods and equipment.
You will work closely with production and engineering personnel and communicate inspection findings. The role includes completing quality documentation, inspection reports, first article inspections and PPAPs.
You will be influential in helping identify areas for process improvement and suggest corrective actions.
Responsibilities:
• Proficient in the use of manual inspection devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, fixtures, etc.,
• Performs first article in-process and final inspection of machined components
• Complete inspection documentation, job process sheets, inspection sheets and first article inspection reports,
• Setup and operate CMM to perform inspections,
• Experience with CMM operation, programming would be advantageous (ideally Leitz CMM using Quindos),
• After training you will work independently, completing necessary checks to ensure continuous production,
• Work closely with operators to ensure tolerances and specification are achieved.
Requirements:
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints,
• Ability to interpret CMM reports,
• Familiar working with tight tolerances (+/- 10 microns),
• Knowledge of Quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001,
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T),
• Knowledge of inspection plans,
• Can support PPAP process including Gage R&R,
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel to input and evaluate data.
Experience and Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent,
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Quality Inspector within an engineering environment,
• Knowledge and experience of measuring precision engineered metal components of very tight tolerances,
• Proficient in using computer software for data entry, analysis, and report generation,
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of the company,
• High level of attention to detail.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, for a length of 8-10-hour shift, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk or hear. Hand and arm dexterity needed to handle inspection equipment and components.
The employee must occasionally balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Able to work a shift pattern and be flexible to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift if required.
