We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Lead who is eager to contribute to our success while growing their career with us.
EDUCATION: Minimum of Associate's Degree from an accredited college of Business, Communications, Logistics, or relevant work experience. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management, and/or Supply Chain Management.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability. Manage the daily workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
  • Lead team huddles/meetings as needed
  • Review orders at risk of missing estimated ship dates with relevant department leads and sales team to devise plan of action and notify all parties that require an update
  • Responsible for processing domestic/International orders via approved carriers
  • Responsible for ensuring daily shipment notifications are sent out
  • Responsible for sending out daily shipment reports
  • Responsible for managing freight quotes with requesting team and freight partners.
  • Manage and update orders internally using M2M ERP as they enter and exit the department
  • Accurately receive Vendor supplies and oversee distribution in a timely manner
  • Maintain and organize required shipping supplies and inventory by performing weekly cycle counts, consulting production control inventory specialists
  • Assembly of standard and special projects products and packing as needed
  • Assist with Driving for pickup and drop-offs as needed
  • Guide and coach employees, monitoring their productivity
  • Detect issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
  • Promptly identify, address, and resolve department operational issues to minimize delays
  • Research and recommend viable solutions to reduce costs as well as improve processes, product quality and appearance
  • Identify and report key performance metrics that communicate departmental health
  • Establish and maintain operating procedures for all key processes and equipment under supervision
  • Maintain a clean and safe production area utilizing 5S methodology in coordination with Lean Manager
  • Assist in all other Pacmin Studios Departments as needed

Minimum Requirements:
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a high-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work well in a close team environment and all levels of employees
  • Must be able to solve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must have a valid CA driver license
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to operate forklift
  • Familiarity with international shipping terms (incoterms) to a basic working level
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • A Global Logistics Certificate (or similar field) from an accredited program is a plus

Leadership:
  • Help Develop, maintain, and foster a positive intra and inter-departmental culture.
  • In conjunction with HR and leadership team, hire and develop direct reports by establishing, recommending, and or/ adhering to, training initiatives and performance management programs
  • In conjunction with HR and leadership team, establish a succession plan for the department and growth of its members
  • Maintain key metrics for the department that allows performance-based management
  • In conjunction with leadership team, drive, and support QC, Lean, Safety, and all key company goals and initiatives
  • Optimize efficiency and continuous improvement
