Job Description:
A Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for leading engaging, safe, and effective classes that motivate members while creating a fun and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Instruct safe and effective exercise classes.
  • Maintain all mandatory education and certification requirements.
  • Understand and follow all policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Crunch brand and model behavior in alignment with the Crunch mission statement.
  • Address member requests or forward them to a manager as needed.
  • Maintain a professional disposition at all times.
  • Follow all club and facility policies and procedures.
  • Attend Crunch Instructor training and deliver classes according to Crunch class format guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of group fitness experience required.
  • Experience leading multi-level exercise classes for participants of all fitness levels.
  • Excellent verbal communication and public speaking skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Certifications:
  • General Class Formats: Nationally accredited group fitness certification required (ACE, AFAA, or NASM).
  • Specialty Class Formats (Barre, Group Cycling, Pilates, TRX, Yoga, Zumba, etc.): Valid format-specific certifications recognized and accredited by the organizations above.
    • Crunch does not accept Les Mills, Mossa, Beach Body, Insanity, or other pre-choreographed formats.
  • CPR/AED certification required.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to adjust and operate all club equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and engage in physical activity, including lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing/walking.

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
