Job description

POSITION OPEN ANNOUNCEMENT
Bus Driver (Part-Time/As Needed)


General Description:  This position is for the transport of students to and from employment, construction sites, field trips, and competitions.  These trips usually occur during school hours but may include evening or weekend events. During layovers, this position includes maintaining the cleanliness of transportation vehicles and transporting of maintenance and warehouse items.
Qualifications:
1.    A high school diploma or training and experience that are considered equivalent.
2.   At least 21 years of age with a minimum of two years of driving experience.
3.   Meets all the physical, mental and moral requirements established by federal rule, state laws and Chapter 3301-83 of Ohio Administrative Code.
4.   Being physically qualified (Rule 3301-83-07 of Ohio Administrative Code).
5.   Ohio School Bus Driver's license, Class B-SP Endorsement Commercial Driver's License.
6.   Possession of currently valid Ohio pre-service school bus driver training program certification.
7.   Communicates in a courteous professional manner with students, parents, and school district personnel.
8.   A suitable dressed, neat and clean appearance.
9.   Physical capability of appropriately lifting and managing special needs children when necessary.
10. All drivers once employed are subject to the Federal Commercial Driver License Drug and Alcohol laws, including random, reasonable suspicion and post accident testing.
11. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and  
      acceptable.

Salary:                                    $26.50 per hour
