Description
The Head Baseball Coach provides Christ-centered leadership for Crown College's NCAA Division III baseball program. The coach is responsible for developing student-athletes spiritually, academically, personally, and athletically while advancing the mission of Crown College. This full-time, exempt position oversees all aspects of the baseball program, including recruiting, coaching, administration, compliance, staff leadership, and community engagement.
Christ-Centered Leadership
The Head Baseball Coach must be a deeply committed follower of Jesus Christ who is passionate about building a boldly Christian baseball program. Baseball is a visible expression of Crown College's mission, and the Head Coach is responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the program reflects humility, integrity, discipleship, servant leadership, and Christ-centered character.
The Head Coach is expected to intentionally disciple student-athletes, model authentic Christian leadership, and cultivate a team culture where spiritual growth is valued alongside academic achievement and athletic excellence.

Primary Responsibilities
• Provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the NCAA Division III baseball program.
• Recruit, hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches.
• Develop a culture that reflects Crown College's Christian mission and values.
Student-Athlete Development
• Disciple and mentor student-athletes spiritually, academically, athletically, and personally.
• Monitor academic progress and support student success.
• Promote leadership, accountability, and character development.
Recruitment & Enrollment
• Lead year-round recruiting efforts.
• Build and maintain a roster of academically, athletically, and spiritually qualified student-athletes.
• Partner with Admissions to achieve enrollment goals.
Coaching & Competitive Excellence
• Plan and oversee practices, player development, game preparation, and competition.
• Develop assistant coaches and student leaders.
• Pursue championships while modeling integrity and sportsmanship.
Program Administration
• Manage budgets, scheduling, travel, equipment, camps, and fundraising.
• Ensure NCAA, conference, and institutional compliance.
• Complete administrative responsibilities accurately and on time.
Campus Leadership & Collaboration
• Represent Crown College with professionalism and integrity.
• Collaborate with Athletics, Admissions, Advancement, Student Development, Alumni, and Academic Affairs.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, alumni, and supporters.
Leadership Expectations
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration with the Vice President of Athletics and campus leadership.
• Lead with integrity, professionalism, and institutional stewardship.
• Support the mission and strategic priorities of Crown College.
• Exercise sound judgment in matters affecting students and the College.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ and the mission of Crown College.
• Previous collegiate coaching and recruiting success.
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
