As a Barber School Instructor, you will combine technical expertise with mentorship to help students learn industry-standard barbering techniques while supporting their personal and professional growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Teach hands-on and classroom instruction in haircutting, shaving, safety, sanitation, and client service.
  • Prepare lesson plans and guide students through both state curriculum and real-world salon practices.
  • Model professionalism, ethics, and accountability every day.
  • Ensure compliance with New Mexico Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists regulations.
  • Foster a trauma-informed, inclusive, and recovery-supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and student evaluations.
  • Participate in program meetings, curriculum reviews, and professional development.
