Job description

The Product Manager of Premises Fiber & Assemblies owns the strategy, business planning, and lifecycle management of Superior Essex's premises fiber and assembly product lines, from concept through end-of-life. This role serves as the strategic connector between product management, manufacturing operations, engineering, and supply chain, ensuring products are market-ready, production-ready, and scalable. The position combines commercial ownership of the product portfolio (financial performance, sales enablement, competitive positioning) with operational rigor (manufacturability, quality, cost, and continuous improvement) to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and market-leading solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Directors of Product management with managing all aspects of product lines including financial analysis and sales team support.
  • Support Directors of Product Management with development and execution of business plans for assigned product line(s).
  • Support the expansion of product lines and services to ensure high customer value, market share gain and net profitability improvement.
  • Support Directors of Product Management in developing product line training materials for inside sales and outside sales.
  • Report and Analyze key product line metrics as requested.
  • Support Directors of Product Management with periodical technical and marketing benchmarks can competitive analysis
  • Assist in market trend analysis and reporting.
  • Work closely with the inside sales, outside sales, & Director PLM on product line selling strategies, training initiatives, and field sales support.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events as needed to support marketing initiatives.Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, and vendors.
  • Must demonstrate strong problem solving skills and analytical skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage and keep projects on-track.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or Business Management
  • 5+ years of industry experience. Communications products experience preferred.
  • Experience in successfully supporting sales teams with business insights, sales tools, product specification/selection materials, training, and product presentations.
