Job description

States Industries is a fast paced, team based manufacturing facility with an abundance of advancement opportunities available for individuals who are seeking to build their careers. Our production position has the unique opportunity to train in various jobs within our hardwood plywood manufacturing facility including putty patching, dryers spreaders, clean up and packaging materials. Candidates must have good manual dexterity, basic reading, writing and math skills, the ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis, and four (4) ten hour shifts and overtime as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow all lockout / tag out (LOTO) procedures, when required.
  • Ability to follow instruction and retain information in a variety of positions.
  • Read and understand putty color charts, material grades, production lists by area and load tickets.
  • General housekeeping in immediate area.
  • Support all 5S and Kaizen programs.
  • Must support the team in achieving all Safety, Production and Quality goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Basic computer skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Use of personal protective equipment is required at all times. (Hearing protection and safety glasses)
