ROLE:

Alliance Door Products is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to support sales and operations through accurate and timely scheduling of daily door shop production work orders. This position offers a regular Monday-Friday schedule, competitive wages, career growth opportunities, and the chance to work with a small, hardworking team that provides beautiful, quality products.

HOURS:

  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 am- 3:30 pm

WAGE:

  • Starting at $26.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience

RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Input, update, and maintain all daily shop work orders in the production schedule.
  • Manage production decisions regarding which work orders are completed daily to meet productivity standards.
  • Manage and update the production calendar for Inside Sales.
  • Answer all Inside Sales and Shop production scheduling questions.
  • Manage all production scheduling date changes on work orders.
  • Review complex commercial machining work orders with the Production Supervisor to ensure information, templates, and product specifications are complete and accurate.
  • Schedule and route third-party logistics for all prefinished products returning to the shop for post-pre-finish machining, crating, and related work.
  • Issue fire labels and manage all fire label logs.
  • Organize and prepare all production paperwork for Door Pullers, Glazing, and Millwork.
  • Review daily production expectations with the Production Supervisor each morning.
  • Create and print CNC machine programs and attach them to Manufacturing Work Orders.
  • Perform other production scheduling-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED and PREFERRED

  • Ability to manage multiple schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various departments and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions.
  • Familiarity with production processes, scheduling software, and inventory management systems.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in schedules and data management.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles, including how to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Must have Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Company VAI system experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, with the option to stand or sit while stationary.
  • Occasionally move about inside both an office and a warehouse setting.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office machines, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly in written and verbal form so others will understand.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
