Job description

General Description: Responsible for daily facilitation of necessary paperwork needed to maintain efficiency and production flow of work throughout the shop floor.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Generate and review all paperwork (copy of the order, instructions, prints, traceability sheets, pallet labels, etc.) for the job packets to go to the production floor via email from Sales Services.

· Communicate to Sales Services if any necessary information is missing and update job packet before issuing it to the floor.

· Coordinate & monitor the flow of materials and information to ensure production schedules are met.

· Update and review issued production paperwork as communicated by Sales Services.

· Create and supply morning and end of day reports in excel.

· Place newly generated job packets in their respective file boxes in the production area multiple times a day.

· Pickup and check completed job packets from the file boxes, check them to ensure all paperwork is completed correctly by the operators and deliver them to the Transportation Administrator.

· Record & review new jobs on job schedules for possible delays with Production and Operations managers

· Collecting and ensuring all shipping/receiving documents are filled out correctly before delivering them to the Transportation Administrator.

· Maintain the ready to ship spreadsheet.

· Enter new jobs on the operations schedule after an estimated job completion time has been established.

· Attend production meetings and be able to speak on behalf of the floor production status.

· Be able to perform other office duties as required.

Eddie Kane Steel’s flagship processing facility in Ohio (180,000 square-foot warehouse and production plant) has a crane capacity up to 100 tons and has full rail access. The North Carolina and California facilities are also fully served by rail.
Eddie Kane Steel’s processing capabilities include high-definition plasma and oxy-fuel flame cutting, shearing, bending, drilling, punching, welding, beveling, Blanchard grinding, stress relieving, and light machining. With two plasma burning machines (including high-definition plasma machines), plate thicknesses up to 14 inches can be cut. Our oxy-fuel cutting capabilities include several multi-torch multi-head machines with several hundred feet of cutting surface. Through close partnerships with vendors offering proven high-quality workmanship, we provide services such as painting and coating, stamping, embossing, slitting, sawing, turning, annealing, leveling, and pressing.
