Job description

Responsible for performing all tasks involved in the production of the companyโ€™s products, including to but not limited to frontline production work, setting up production lines, setting up machines, filling out paperwork, cleaning and janitorial, and/or shipping and receiving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Candidates in the roll of Production Lead must be able to proficiently handle all tasks associated with the position of Production Worker along with additional duties outlined below:

  • Assemble and set up production equipment for operation.
  • Verify batching, pack-out, work order, and formula inputs and outputs are correctly recorded and verified to be true to company spec.
  • Provide guidance to employees on your line to help promote efficient workload management
  • Complete the required paperwork, including batch sheets, rework usage log, etc.
  • Be able to read and comprehend batch paperwork, for work orders, formulations, spice blends, and processes, with the ability to communicate that information clearly to production workers on your line.
  • Operating machinery, including but not limited to Grinders, Mixers, Stuffers, Choppers, Roll Stock Machines, Slicers, etc.
  • Assist with training of new and less experienced employees

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in a meat or food processing plant required
  • High school diploma or equivalent


Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Additional duties as assigned.


Physical Demands:

  • The ability to constantly work on concrete floors in a cold, moist, and refrigerated environment, including in freezers.
  • The ability to lift up to 75lbs. frequently.
  • The ability to frequently bend, kneel, and lift.
  • The ability to frequently perform repetitive motion tasks.
