Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the packaging manufacturing plant. This role ensures that production processes run smoothly and efficiently, meeting the company's quality standards, safety protocols, and production targets. The Production Supervisor will lead and mentor a team of production workers, coordinate with various departments, and report directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties:

    3. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
  • Team Leadership:
    1. Supervise, train, and evaluate production staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and safety standards.
    2. Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and address any personnel issues promptly.
    3. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production goals, changes, and updates.
  • Quality Control:
    1. Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
    2. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to identify and address any quality issues.
    3. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    1. Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
    2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
    3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to manufacturing and packaging.
  • Equipment and Maintenance:
    1. Monitor the condition of production equipment and arrange for routine maintenance and repairs.

    3. Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements to improve production efficiency.
  • Inventory and Supply Chain:
    1. Coordinate with the inventory and procurement teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and packaging supplies.

  • Reporting and Documentation:
    1. Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics.

    3. Provide regular updates to the Plant Manager and other senior management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in packaging.
  • Strong knowledge of production management, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
