CYM is a neighborhood bagel shop and deli with locations in the DMV area, Colorado, Chicago, and Philadelphia on the way! We're looking for new team members with positive attitudes and an eagerness to learn who are as excited about good food & GOOD VIBES.
We're hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor based in our DMV Commissary!
The QA Supervisor is a hands-on operational role responsible for supporting and maintaining food safety, quality, and production standards across CYM commissaries and stores. This position works closely with Commissary Leadership and Operations Teams to ensure products are produced consistently, safely, and according to established recipes and procedures.
The QA Supervisor spends the majority of their time on the production floor and in stores conducting quality checks, monitoring food safety practices, coaching team members, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role may also provide shift leadership coverage within the commissary as needed.
This position is based primarily in our DMV Commissary and will support food safety and quality initiatives in Denver through audits, training, and operational support.

Your responsibilities will be:
  • Monitor daily quality standards throughout bagel and pastry production, including preparation, baking, and finishing processes.
  • Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet CYM standards for taste, appearance, consistency, and yield.
  • Verify proper mixing, proofing, baking, cooling, storage, and finishing procedures are being followed.
  • Perform regular food safety and sanitation audits in commissaries and stores, documenting findings and following up on corrective actions.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of food safety programs, SOPs, HACCP plans, and sanitation procedures.
  • Train and coach team members on food safety, quality standards, recipe adherence, and best practices.
  • Serve as a resource for commissary and store teams regarding food safety and product quality questions.
  • Monitor compliance with local health department regulations and CYM operating standards.
  • Assist with onboarding and ongoing training related to food safety and quality procedures.
  • Support product consistency by ensuring recipes, production procedures, and specifications are followed accurately.
  • Participate in investigations of quality or food safety concerns and assist with corrective action plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, quality checks, and food safety documentation.
  • Analyze recurring quality and food safety issues and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Provide occasional shift supervision and operational support within commissary production when needed.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative work environment through coaching, communication, and accountability.

You'll be a great addition to the CYM team if you:
  • 3+ years of experience in a commercial food production, bakery, commissary, or restaurant environment.
  • Previous supervisory, lead, trainer, or quality assurance experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance principles.
  • HACCP, ServSafe, or equivalent food safety certification preferred.
  • Experience auditing food safety practices and coaching teams on compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
  • Comfortable spending significant time in production environments and stores.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Passion for food quality, consistency, and operational excellence.
