The Warehouse Supervisor Trainee is responsible for learning and performing efficient and accurate daily operations of the Distribution Center. Our products include wood moldings, decorative trim, and other millwork accessories. This position will learn to oversee the daily activities of personnel, including motivating them to provide quality and efficient performance of their duties in a safe productive environment. The trainee will learn the business from the ground up! The job requires significant and continuous heavy lifting up to 50lbs, and the ability to build reliable and cohesive relationships with customers and other employees.
Operation Management Trainee Primary Responsibilities:
  • Learning and executing daily activities for picking, shipping, receiving, loading, and inventory control departments.
  • Teaching and training of current and new facility personnel
  • Ensuring that our product/service meets or exceed customer expectation
  • Setting productivity goals for warehouse and meeting those goals
  • Responsible for continuous improvement/best practices within his/her facility
  • Ensuring that safety rules and policies are followed by all employees
  • Purchasing and maintenance of warehouse equipment and supplies
  • Supporting Distribution Manager in developing goals and objectives for the Operations.

Warehouse Supervisor Trainee Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • College Graduate OR High school level plus one to three years relevant or prior experience. Warehouse experience is helpful.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence usually by e-mail.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the customer's organization.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
