Job Overview: The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the production floor. This position is responsible for ensuring that production processes run efficiently, meeting safety, quality, and production targets. The Production Supervisor will manage a team of production workers, ensuring that all operations are completed on time, within budget, and according to the company's high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Coordination:
    • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that production schedules are met.
    • Conduct daily meetings with production staff to review operational goals, set priorities, and communicate changes.
    • Coordinate with other departments, including Maintenance and Shipping, to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Production Management:
    • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
    • Direct and oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment.
    • Ensure that all materials required for production are available and correctly prepared.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
    • Oversee quality control measures, ensuring that all products meet company and customer specifications.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the production area to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Provide leadership and direction to the production team, fostering a positive work environment.

    • Manage timekeeping and attendance records for production staff, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing and production environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in CNC Turning, Milling, or general machine job shop
  • Strong understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality control practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills can interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
