Wieland is hiring a 2nd Shift Saw Operator. The Saw Operator will be responsible for performing all saw department responsibilities in accordance with set standards and company policy. This role is located in Lake Zurich, IL and will be fully on-site.
Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 - $25.00/hr
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (4:00 pm - 2:30 am) | Monday - Thursday
Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities
Saw Operator Responsibilities:
  • Must have the ability to understand proper set up and use of band saws
  • Prepare/understand all forms and reports pertaining to the processing of product
  • Must have knowledge with tape measure, caliper, square
  • Proper material handling
  • Stack and load product on trailers, skids and material handling carts
  • Operate forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, overhead cranes
    • Must be a certified forklift driver on the sit-down forklift and stand up Raymond side loader forklift within 90 days of employment
  • Communicate with other warehouse production department personnel
  • Efficiently stage product in and out of saw locations
  • Use Vantage as a tool for inventory adjustments, inventory location, inventory inquiries, print pick lists, distribution orders
  • Know how to change forklift LP tanks and how to properly charge forklift batteries
  • Proper raw material handling, moving and identification
  • Participate in production department housekeeping
  • Participate in cycle counting and inventory integrity
  • Continuously model Wieland Core Values

  • Work overtime when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Activities as assigned related to and in support of the Quality and Environmental Management System

Saw Operator Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Trained and licensed in operation of forklifts
  • Driver's license
  • Forklift license
