Job description

The Quality Management Systems Manager is responsible for continually developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will be managing and improving processes to uphold product quality standards with focus on contract review, risk analysis and corrective actions.

Your responsibility will be to work directly with customers, regulators and suppliers on quality initiatives. You will work with senior management to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities for the QMS.

Responsibilities will be:
  • Lead and develop a small team of quality coordinators, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and execute corrective and preventive action processes—identifying root causes, implementing solutions, and verifying effectiveness.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in order to promote continuous improvement.
  • Perform customer contract review to ensure accuracy and compliance to Bisco policies and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate in perform ing supplier assessments and provide approval or request alternative action when appropriate.
  • Assisting in planning and organizing audit processes with customers, suppliers, and industry regulators.
  • Minimal travel, domestic and international, to assist in audit processes and onsite inspection activities.
  • Support senior management with assigned special projects as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of management including excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in an aerospace, electronic, electrical or industrial business market, particularly with ISO9001, AS9100 requirements.
  • 2+ years’ experience with QMS auditing, AS9100 standards is preferred.
  • BS degree in quality, engineering, business or comparative related experience
  • Experience in global and multi-site quality management in regulated industries (medical, aerospace, automotive)
  • Certification as an ISO 9001 Auditor and or Six Sigma Green Belt/ Black Belt
  • Effectively manage one's time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight while meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Must be willing to complete a background check.
  • You must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident
