We are looking for a Branch Quality Manager to join our team!
The Branch Quality Manager will be responsible for the following:
  • Maintain and improve the quality management system to maintain AS9100 certification.
  • Company representative for customer and registrar audits as required.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve customer issues and complaints related to quality.
  • Collaborate with other members of management to ensure quality standards are met and continually improved.
  • Interacts with vendors to ensure product compliance requirements are met and issues are resolved.
  • Issue and track corrective actions to suppliers as required.
  • Conduct internal audits to meet AS9100, export compliance, and Service Steel Aerospace QMS requirements.
  • Review and ensure export compliance requirements and procedures are followed.
  • Manage calibration of tools and calibration log.
  • Give guidance on aerospace specifications and material test reports to all staff members.
  • Assist operations and sales staff in determining if material and material source meets customer requirements.
  • Manage the quarantine and disposition of non-conforming product or material.
  • Maintains the corrective action system for internal, supplier and customer requested corrective actions at the branch level.
  • Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers, as well as internal/external customers.
  • Must continually improve knowledge of raw materials, production processes, specifications, and quality control techniques, to keep knowledge up to date.
  • Maintain control documents as required by Quality Management System.
  • May be assigned multiple branches.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Function in the Job

Required Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a quality supervisory or quality management position in the metal industry. Drawing and technical specification interpretation required.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors.
  • Expert knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality systems or techniques.
  • Excellent communications skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Self-motivated and can act on own initiative with little to no supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • General computer knowledge and skills, including use of Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • High School diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
