Job description

Description:

 Manage day-to-day operations of quality and assist the management team as needed. Develop personnel, as appropriate within the department, supervise and ensure completion of all duties departmental employees are responsible for. Recognize the potential of new employees and identify training needs.  


Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer, document, and maintain contact with customer/interested parties, as necessary, regarding complaints, concerns, or issues. Complete   customer/potential customers’ assessments/surveys.
  • Maintain QMS in accordance with ISO9001 Quality Standard.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor the Quality Management System relating to activities & products. Develop   policies, procedures, work instructions, forms, record control, retention periods, disposal methods, and ensure document control of   internal/external documents/standards.
  • Schedule, prepare presentations, conduct, and document meetings for; APQP, mgt. safety   review, continuous improvement, corrective actions, annual reviews, and management review.
  • Issue   corrective action requests; complete/assist w/completion of internal/received external CAR’s.
  • Maintain contact with sales, program/project managers to assist with/complete First Articles, PPAP submissions, injection mold dimensional layouts, and with   their input of data the completion of FMEAS, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams, and any customer mandated forms.
  • Assist safety manager with the coordination of the emergency response team, schedule annual safety drill, post MIOSHA documents, and ensure all incident reporting is forwarded to Safety Manager.
  • Post SDS sheets, and relevant Mgt. Review charts.
  • Schedule, complete, and review annual & periodic internal audits. Aid/guide 3rd   party auditors. 
  • Track   all audits and document any nonconforming products/processes, and correction   action taken.
  • Complete internal assessment performance ratings for all customers.
  • Issue verbal/written instructions or directions, assign duties, when necessary, examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies, procedures and customer requirements.



Requirements:


  • Supervisory Experience; leadership ability, decision maker, attention to details, meet deadlines.
  • Independent; self-motivated/confident, team-orientated, can follow instructions, good attendance.
  • Experienced   with ISO standards; quality management systems, document/record control, internal/ external auditing (ISO stds, housekeeping, conformance, 3rd   party), calibration,
  • Knowledge   of Customer Requirements; 1st articles, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Flow Charts, Cap Studies, PSO, Run @ Rate, 7-Step, 8-D’s, MSA, Gage R &   R, SPC, approval processes.
  • Inspection Skills; blueprint reading, use of measurement tools, detecting defects.
  • Communication Skills; customer service skills, present information (to large groups when required).
  • Understanding   of tools required to produce product.
  • PC Skills; Word, Excel, Email, Internet, networking awareness.
