About the Opportunity

A leading aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a Production Planning & Process Improvement Manager to oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives for high-complexity, high-mix manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring on-time delivery performance, optimizing production workflows, and leveraging data analytics and technology to drive operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and business objectives.

• Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to prioritize production and resolve bottlenecks.

• Monitor work-in-progress, capacity constraints, material availability, and production performance.

• Communicate production status, risks, and delivery timelines to internal stakeholders.

• Analyze supply chain and production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision-making.

• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

• Utilize ERP systems and analytics tools to optimize planning processes and inventory management.

• Support automation, AI-driven planning solutions, and process optimization projects.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• Experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in data extraction, reporting, and process improvement.

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, MAPICS, or similar platforms.

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or Epicor BAQ is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
