Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Production & Material Control to lead end-to-end materials management, demand planning, inventory control, and production support across our manufacturing operations.

In this highly visible leadership position, you will oversee the Planning & Scheduling, Inventory Control, and Engineering Support teams while driving alignment across Production Control, Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehouse Fulfillment, and Project Execution. You will play a critical role in ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory performance, balancing demand with production capacity, and delivering operational excellence.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do...

Strategic Leadership
  • Lead and direct Production Control operations, including Planning, Engineering Support, and Inventory Control functions.
  • Develop and execute demand and capacity planning strategies aligned with annual business objectives.
  • Serve as Manufacturing's representative in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, agility, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
  • Drive enterprise inventory governance, including stocking strategies, critical spare parts programs, inventory accuracy initiatives, and excess/obsolete inventory reduction.
  • Standardize material flow processes across manufacturing operations to improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Ensure material availability to support production schedules and project execution.
  • Provide oversight of inventory accuracy programs, including cycle counting, physical inventories, reconciliation efforts, and root cause analysis.
Operational Excellence
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing leadership to achieve key objectives related to quality, delivery, cost, and safety.
  • Develop, monitor, and report department KPIs while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Leverage analytics and business intelligence tools to identify risks, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support new product introductions, manufacturing expansions, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Systems & Data Governance
  • Oversee SAP master data governance with ownership of PP and EWM master data processes.
  • Establish and maintain controls to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Drive best practices across ERP, planning, scheduling, and inventory management systems.
Qualifications What You'll Bring Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in materials management, production planning, demand planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience balancing customer requirements with manufacturing capacity and operational constraints.
  • Strong leadership experience developing managers and building high-performing teams.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems focused on production planning, inventory management, and materials control.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • SAP S/4HANA experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CPIM, CPM, CSCP, CIRM, or other ASCM/ISM credentials.
  • Experience leading large-scale process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
