Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is hiring Production Operators in Detroit, MI for a metal processing facility. This role involves entry-level machine operation, loading and unloading materials, monitoring production output, and ensuring products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate has forklift experience, manufacturing experience, and is looking for a long-term opportunity in an industrial environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Production Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Machine Operation: Operate production equipment according to work instructions and production standards.
  • Material Handling: Load materials into the production area using a forklift and unload finished materials to shipping or storage areas.
  • Production Monitoring: Check and inspect operation results against predetermined tolerances to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Instruction Compliance: Scan products to access specific production instructions and follow process requirements.
  • Quality Support: Transport products to the quality department for inspection and defect review.
Additional duties may include supporting team projects and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
