Summary of Job Description:    Production Manager will drive efficient plant operations using Lean principles to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and ensure quality standards. Oversee scheduling, inventory, and workforce development while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Reports to the Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce safety standards and proper PPE usage.
  • Plan and coordinate production schedules and tooling changeovers using Lean methods.
  • Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production lines.
  • Ensure product quality meets manufacturing specifications and implement root cause analysis for defects.
  • Apply Kaizen and 5S principles to improve processes and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Hire, train, and develop team members; promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Familiarity with production equipment and inventory control systems.
  • Computer proficiency and understanding of BOM systems.
  • High School diploma required; technical or college degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:   Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, handle materials, and operate equipment in varying temperature conditions.
