Job Title: Production Manager

Reports To: Store Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Wichita, KS

Pay: $11.75-$20.50/hour (tips possible)

Summary

Under the general direction of the Store Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for donut shop operations, including the production of quality baked goods according to stringent deadlines and based on precise knowledge of all company-outlined recipes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    1.Must have open availability and reliable transportation.
    2.Must speak fluent English and have the ability to train staff in English; other languages are highly desirable, especially Spanish (a pay differential is available for bilingual Managers).
    3.Must demonstrate mastery of the Baker I, II, III, and Assistant Production Manager job descriptions.
    4.Accomplishes restaurant human resources objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; and enforcing company policies, procedures, standards, and processes.
    5.Accurately tabulates payroll for all back-of-house staff and delivers it to the Store Manager and/or General Manager.
    6.Estimates food costs and profits; adjusts and manages staff in order to achieve cost and profit goals.
    7.Controls costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation; minimizing waste; and ensuring high quality of preparation.
    8.Maximizes restaurant profitability by ensuring portion control and monitoring accuracy of charges.
    9.Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; developing and implementing disaster plans; maintaining security and sprinkler systems; and maintaining parking lot and walkways.
    10.Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, and utensil quality and placement; and monitoring food presentation and service.
    11.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
    12.Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
    13.Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Director of Company Operations, and/or Area Manager.
