Pay range:ย $60,000-$65,000

Shift: 2nd. Must be able to Work Weekends

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Overall responsibility for all aspects of Production and Quality on both shifts.
  • Adheres to all company rules and guidelines as per the Employee Handbook.
  • Conducts accident and incident investigations while documenting them on required reporting structure.
  • Enforces all GMP rules and Food Defense protocols.
  • Responsible for the Production Departmentโ€™s overall discipline and adherence to all company rules and protocols.
  • Participates on all AIB/Internal Audits and Inspections.
  • Responsible for executing the corrective action plan for any violations found during audits in production area.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing all personnel on resources and equipment.
  • Oversees two production shifts and ensures overall goals and efficiencies are met.
  • Trains all new employees and responsible for communicating all staffing needs to Staffing Agency.
  • Provides coaching, assistance and guidance to all employees to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Responsible for documenting Counseling and Disciplinary Actions for all QP employees.
  • Works closely the Supply Chain Manager to assure production rates are met across both shifts.
  • Creates and provides a schedule for all employees as needed due to overtime or mandatory workdays.
  • Communicates with the S/R department on all product/material needs.
  • Responsible for managing all the Production employeeโ€™s productivity while managing the overall labor.
  • Performs Quality Audits during shift to ensure all employees are following Quality guidelines.
  • Assists in the training of Quality Control personnel.
  • Must oversee all Quality Holds from production lines and communicate all damages to SCM.
  • Responsible for reviewing and correcting any discrepancies on the P&Aโ€™s daily.
  • Calculates the employeeโ€™s timecards and reconciles them using the P&A for actual labor worked.
  • Responsible for hitting required rates on all production lines while maintaining highest level of quality.
  • Responsible for maneuvering personnel between production lines to improve throughout.
  • Required to document all downtime on production lines.
  • Performs Performance Reviews and Goals Settings for all Production employees.
  • Responsible for properly managing WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Must train all necessary personnel on how to properly utilize and manage the WMS (Warehouse Management System).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

Educational Background:

  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment working in a management role.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

  • Some college preferred
  • Working knowledge and experience with Safety Programs (OSHA, Workman's Comp).
  • Working knowledge or certification in Continuous Improvement Methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Experience communicating Quality and Production performance to customers.
  • Experience working with a temporary workforce.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer literacy for usage of WMS, e-mail, MS Office applications, intranet, and file management and integration.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish a plus
  • Able to work flexible hours, minimal travel
