Job Description Step into a hands-on production role with a company that values reliability, precision, and teamwork. This contract position offers consistent afternoon/evening hours Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, in a clean, organised manufacturing environment where your attention to detail directly supports on-time delivery and product quality. About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up production machinery to meet daily output and quality targets.

You will work closely with the production team to keep machines running safely and efficiently, performing basic mechanical adjustments as needed. Your contribution will help maintain smooth workflow and minimise downtime across the line. Key Responsibilities: Operate assigned production machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

Set up machines at the start of shifts, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and verifying proper operation. Monitor machine performance during runs, making basic mechanical adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Perform routine checks on products to ensure they meet specifications and document any issues.

Conduct basic cleaning and maintenance of equipment to prevent breakdowns and support safe operation. Identify and report mechanical or process problems promptly to supervisors or maintenance personnel. Follow all production schedules and work instructions to meet daily output targets.

Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards. Key Requirements: Proven experience operating production or manufacturing machinery in an industrial setting. Ability to perform machine setup, including adjusting controls, changing parts, and preparing materials.

Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools and understand simple mechanical functions. Comfortable working Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, with consistent attendance and punctuality. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Capability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as required, and work in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of basic safety practices in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Desirable Skills: Experience in high-volume manufacturing or production lines.

Familiarity with basic quality checks and use of measuring tools. Prior exposure to preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment. Experience working with multiple types of machinery or automated equipment.

Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Technical or vocational training related to manufacturing or mechanical trades preferred. Any relevant safety or equipment operation certifications are a plus.
