Machine Operator / Technician

Starting Pay: $22.00/hour + $0.66/hour attendance premium
Shifts: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shift Available
Location: South Charleston, OH

Pay & Shift Details

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Up to $22.66/hour
    • Attendance Premium: Additional $0.66/hour
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM | Up to $24.41/hour including shift differential
    • 2nd Shift Differential: Additional $1.75/hour
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Up to $24.16/hour including shift differential
    • 3rd Shift Differential: Additional $1.50/hour
Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Die Cast Machine Operator / Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely operating and monitoring die cast machinery, performing quality inspections, assisting with machine and die setups, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues.

The ideal candidate has die cast manufacturing experience, strong attention to quality and safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

What You'll Do
  • Start up and shut down die cast machinery.
  • Operate and monitor multiple machines.
  • Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Assist with die changes and machine setups.
  • Monitor hourly production and identify variances from production targets.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine and equipment issues.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist the Team Leader with daily production activities.
  • Train associates on equipment operation and repair procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Communicate production, quality, and equipment issues to Team Leaders and appropriate departments.
  • Complete required production paperwork and reports.
  • Assist with inventory investigations and other departmental activities.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and support to the department when the Team Leader is absent.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of die cast experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of PDCA, 5S, and root cause analysis preferred.
  • Understanding of basic quality tools.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to identify and address machine and product quality issues.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to work mandatory overtime.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive arm movements.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in temperatures up to 100F.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime.
