We take pride in our diverse customer base which includes some of the world's best known retailers and brand marketers. With domestic and off-shore manufacturing, as well as sales offices in key markets across the country, we offer global solutions in today's global economy.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packer/Assembler to join our team in Moody, AL. This role involves manually packing a variety of products by performing essential tasks such as shaping and assembling shipping cartons, carefully placing products into designated cartons, and organizing them based on specified shipping counts. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, ensuring that all products meet our rigorous standards by sorting and rejecting any items that do not conform to quality requirements. The Packer/Assembler will also be responsible for assembling unit components, compacting discarded shipping materials to maintain an organized workspace, and sealing cartons securely with tape.

The position requires regular inspection of products at each packaging stage, stamping cartons with packaging dates for proper tracking, and occasionally stacking, separating, counting, packing, and wrapping various product types. Additional responsibilities include applying labels to cartons according to customer specifications, maintaining a clean and safe packing environment, and providing dependable coverage for colleagues during break and lunch periods. Flexibility is important, as tasks and workstations will rotate to meet production demands. This role is vital to ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare and pack products manually with precision, assembling shipping cartons and organizing products according to detailed shipping instructions.
  • Operate, learn, and maintain mastery of equipment including shrink wrap machines, banding, stitching, staplers, tape guns, and hand tools to enhance packing efficiency.
  • Perform unit assembly duties and compact discarded cardboard and other packaging materials to keep the work area clean and safe.
  • Inspect products carefully at every stage of packing; reject and return any damaged or substandard items to the production line for reprocessing.
  • Stamp cartons with accurate packaging dates and apply product and shipment labels consistent with customer and company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of packing and assembly areas, adhering to health and safety protocols to uphold a safe working environment.
  • Provide reliable coverage for team members during breaks and lunch breaks, demonstrating flexibility by rotating through different workstations as required.
  • Consistently report to work on time, maintaining a strong attendance record to support uninterrupted production workflows.
Job Requirements
  • Possess a minimum of 6 months of continuous work experience, ideally within a manufacturing, or packing environment, demonstrating dependability and attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical competency is required, including the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply or divide by factors such as 2, 3, 4, and 5, aiding with inventory counts and packing calculations.
  • Strong literacy skills, including the ability to read, compare, and interpret words, series of numbers, and instructions accurately for quality assurance and product labeling.
  • Effective writing skills capable of producing accurate series of numbers, names, and addresses to complete documentation and labeling tasks confidently.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent certification is required to ensure foundational educational standards.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols diligently to maintain production quality and workplace safety.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn operating various packing and assembly machinery, including but not limited to shrink wrap, rivet, banding, stitching, and compacting machines.
  • Demonstrated capability to use hand tools and equipment such as tape guns, drills, and staplers safely and effectively.

We encourage candidates who are motivated, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards in their work environment to apply for this role.
