Job description

Production Worker
Unitex is searching for 2nd Shift Production Workers in Hartford, CT.
Compensation: $18.20/hour. The salary range for this position is $18.20/hour to $18.20/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:45PM - 11:15PM. To be discussed during screening prior to interview

Responsibilities:
  • Sorts incoming laundry
  • Puts dry linen (pillowcases, towels, gowns, underpads, etc.) through folding machines
  • Puts wet sheets and blankets into irons
  • Packs out clean linen by customer order

Requirements:
  • Full time, 2:45PM - 11:15PM.
  • Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly
  • Performs activities as directed on the production line
  • Responsible for following all safety policies/procedures
  • Follows PPE/hygiene policies
  • Ability to communicate clearly with management

Physical Requirements:
  • This position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and stooping. This position is constantly subject to machine noise, hot and humid temperatures. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
