Position Summary
A Cafe Line Cook with Farmhouse Table Food is responsible for assisting in the preparation of ingredients and execution of menu items in our Downtown Cafe Location.  In a highly self-motivated and service focused manner a Cafe Line Cook works diligently to ensure that menu items are prepared, various sides and ingredients are prepped, and a positive team focused atmosphere is maintained all in the effort of offering our client’s is a amazing experience. A Cafe Line Cook will have the opportunity to further develop their skills in time management, team work, and customer service through the day to day experience of working in a guest facing open kitchen.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
·       Preparing ingredients and cooking items for daily menus under the direction and guidance of kitchen leadership.
·       Work cohesively with the team to drive a positive work environment focused on client satisfaction and teamwork.
·       Work with a problem-solving mindset to increase productivity, use of materials to maximum efficiency, and minimize waste.
·       Engage with guests to promote a socially engaged culture and welcoming atmosphere.
·       Maintain cleanliness and safety standards/regulations.

 
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
·       1-3 years’ experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
·       1-3 years’ experience working in a catering/large production kitchen.
·       Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
·       Ability to work in a team environment and give/receive feedback to increase skillset and drive organizational goals.
·       Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
·       Work multiple hours in a standing position.
·       Be in high heat conditions due to weather and cooking environment.
